I've tried the J-Tech Digital (deluxe) vertical mouse, but it was tall. I adjusted to the vertical aspect easily, but I had to crank my wrist up high on the mouse, which defeated the purpose of it being ergonomic. The J-Tech mouse stood so tall, whenever I would close my desk, since it didnt fit under my desk, it would always fall off.I then tried the Etekcity Scroll M910 which very close to what I wanted. I liked the 60 degree angle, but the body of the mouse was too bulbous. I hold my mouse between my thumb and ring finger, so this mouse was a too wide, as it was designed to be held with between the thumb and pinky finger. Over all, the M910 just felt too large. Now this Verbatim 8-Button Deluxe is close to perfect. It has a nice angle to it, but unfortunately not nearly as much as the Etekcity M910. The design is reminiscent of Star Trek's Delta Flyer!Pros:Its not as bulbous as the Etekcity M910, so it fits neatly under my palm, while still allowing the butt of my palm and pinky finger to rest on the table. It has a nice narrow "waist" to it, so my thumb and ring finger slide naturally into place. It doesn't call for any button clicking to wake it from hibernation mode.Cons:The wheels is poorly designed. The wheel has rubber teeth, but only run down the center. Since the wheel is very flat, the edge of the wheel is all plastic so my finger often slips over the wheel. My fingers dont catch on the rubber unless I'm right on top of it, or I have to press hard on the plastic edge of the wheel. Eventually, I will open the mouse up and remove the "clicking" part of the wheel when spinning... so it spins freely. This should solve the issue. Screws to open the mouse seem to be under the sliding pads, so opening will be more difficult.Personal Cons:I don't care too much for the rubberized plastic parts of the mouse. After a while, hand sweat and hand grease turns the rubberized coating into sticky goo. Which will eventually need to be removed with some alcohol and a cloth.I wish the buttons were programmable. The X-Mouse software doesnt seem to have the option to program the 7th and 8th button. I dont know of any other software that tackles the 7th and 8th button. Conclusion:Great mouse with one minor issues. I'm not going to count my personal cons against this mouse, as they are just my personal preferences. The only negative point is the stubborn wheel that requires more attention to spin.I rate it 4.5 - 5 stars.
