Update August 2014: Router still works very well. Aside from power outages and modem problems, this thing works brilliantly. It doesn't compare to higher end routers, but for how cheap and functional this is, it's very good.Update September 10th: The uptime of my router is now closing in on 40 days straight of up time. Aside from a point when all of our neighborhood's internet went out (neighbors have let us use their internet, and haven't changed their password since...), there was no time this router stopped working.Putting multiple (6+) computers through this plus online gaming on consoles simultaneously this past month, I have not seen any performance degradation. For the older laptop, nothing worse than with my previous router.Still fairly satisfied with this purchase. At the price it is at now ($25), this is the router to get.----------It has been roughly a week since I first received this. Unlike my 8+ year old router, I haven't had to unplug or restart the router since then.As advertised, setup is simple (though I find that to be true for all routers I've used, this one is even harder to mess up). The user interface is fairly straightforward, has plenty of options, and a couple nifty tools.Me being a paranoid type of person, I feel much happier letting friends and cousins onto a temporary network instead of my main network. The extra bit of security is nice, and I can say this is one of the nicer features I've seen in a router. The range of the wireless also does not disappoint. I live in a moderately sized 2 story home. Compared to my old router, I feel I get slightly more mileage out of my router than before. With my previous router, I would get no signal from the other corner of my house. With this, while the connection quality is very low (according to windows), it does actually see it and does work from that location. For the actual performance of the router, it is also a large improvement over my old one. With a certain amount of activity and downloading, I noticed my old router would die for a few seconds trying to process all the things happening. Not the case with this router; I've had downloads, games, videos, and video streams on 6 computers at once and (aside from the strain on my available bandwidth) the router handled it all without a drop in performance. On that note, there is a function on this router to prioritize what type of application gets more bandwidth priority. I have not tried this feature out yet, but after my aforementioned tests with my friends and myself, I don't feel it necessary. It does sound pretty nice if you take the time to make it work though. All in all, for the price I paid ($30 excluding taxes), I would highly recommend this router for any household.
