I bought this unit to replace and old Dymo labelmaker with built in keyboard that used the same D1 cartridge. I am using it via a PC/USB connection and Dymo Connect SW. It works as advertised. Battery seems weak and self discharges about 50% in 1 week. Minimal documentation comes with the unit and I needed to search online to find the user manual and Dymo Connect SW. In the end, it does what is intended and prints labels.The printer itself works great, but the desktop software requires a lot of fiddling to get it work. The reason I bought this label maker was because it can print in mirror mode for stickers inside translucent covers. The software is powerful, but getting it to work properly on Windows 10 was a real pain. I had to reinstall drivers and follow troubleshooting guides, but it did finally work. The phone app worked right out of the box.Works great with a laptop. Just ok with a phone app. But for $60 plus, why would you include a tiny starter cassette with only enough tape for a few labels. That’s kind of disappointing otherwise I would have given a perfect review.User interface difficult for me, not easy for my age. i have to translate , not recharge with usb, but feels quality.After quite a few attempts good results.I.LOVE.THIS.THING. this is what I was looking for! I love the portability but I also live that you can leave it plugged in and it will got into sleep mode and as asson as i connect my tablet or phone, it wakes up and let's me print the label. Easy to change cartridges. The app is not as bad as the reviews in the google play store says it is. Very happy, labeled way too many things hahaThe device by itself seems fine, but the app is terrible. It is not optimized for an iPhone 12, so some buttons almost impossible to click. Also, it constantly disconnects from Bluetooth.Print quality is not that good either, paint easily comes off is you scratch with your nails.This is not an intuitive interface. Feels like an app designed years ago. Could be much more seamless in terms of changing font sizes, resizing text boxes, adjusting margins, etc. Additionally I had to reconnect the bluetooth connection several times within a 30 minutes period. Latest app running on an iPhone 12 Pro with latest IOS.Having said this the hardware seems well designed. Very compact, attractive industrial design, very functional and easy installation of battery and label. So this is only about the app. If Dymo can get the bluetooth connection and the App right they will have a 5 star product. Otherwise this label printer really falls short.Lastly, it would be nice to be able to connect this to a computer rather than just smart phones.Using app on phone, you connect via Bluetooth and print effortlessly. Quick set up and charging time. Cartridge easy to load. Great product.Are you in your thirties and you think to yourself that I need to label some bins. Well let me say it starts with labelling some bins then all of a sudden you've labelled literally everything from dessert spoons to soup spoons. It spiraled out of control when my wife woke up to see I had labelled her breast. On the brink of a divorce and have sought medical intervention of my addication. It's not helping as I continue to label my wife's body parts. Other than that it does what it states, just be warned as this label machine can put stresses on any marriage.Good label maker, portable and bluetooth interface make it quick. Audioslave font is awesome.
